I have chartered yachts in the Mediterranean over the past six years on behalf of a group of sailing friends. We initially chartered though a large UK charter company. All went well for the first few years until one year when we experienced repeated engine failure in very bad weather. The UK charter company denied all responsibility leaving us with a ruined holiday and significant extra costs.
Since then we have chartered through WannagoSailing and have received excellent service. When Covid forced us to cancel our 2020 cruise, WannagoSailing strongly argued our case and ensured that we received vouchers for 2021 from a very reluctant local boat owner. I just chartered twice from WannaGoSailing in St. Martin. A Lagoon 42 both times, once in April and once in May, 2021. Both good experiences. Having chartered from multiple companies in the USA and BVI since the 1990's this was my first time using an agent in Ireland for a boat in the Caribbean. All around good experience and am planning to use them for Europe and the Bahamas in the near future.
